The ban on magic mushrooms (since december 2008) is not injust, we have heard a few minutes ago.

That was the verdict in the courtcase of the Dutch Smartshop Organization (VLOS.nl) against the Dutch State.

We are waiting for the details of the verdict and will discuss whether to go into appeal to the higher courts.

Pathetic decision on mushroom ban! BRING BACK MAGIC MUSHROOMS!!!
written by Jason , June 21, 2009, 18:00
The ignorance of the people making this stupid decision is an insult to my intelligence! Prohibition does nothing but drive recreational drugs underground. You can still buy any drug you want on the streets of Amsterdam and every other major city. It´s a joke and one that not only plays into the hands of organised crime but also endangers peoples lives. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID DECISION!!!

This judge just wasn't high enough!

The higher you get, the more you see and understand.

If at all possible go on to the Highest Court!

The Times they are changing!

Now that the Western World has reached it's limit, we look to the Elders.

Everywhere around the world indigenous knowledge is re-valued now!

That is not surprising.

We thought we knew it all, but now must admit we made a mess!

No future for our civilization.

The solution what way of life does have a future,

is plain to see now:

The Way of Life that survived longest!

Only now, with our backs against the Wall,

the West is finally ready to look outside of our limited view for the

answers.

It is very unfortunate indeed. I personally think it was the judge's own personal feelings about this case which made him give this verdict. If you look at all the facts, you cannot possibly keep this ridiculous ban intact.

Guess I have to start growing them myself.

I'm curious to who the judge was in this case and what his/her background was. Politicians opposing the ban already displayed their not so hidden agenda (Klink, Snoldersma etc...) by making blatantly ignorant comments regarding psychoactive mushrooms.

No intelligent judge presented with all the fact in full honesty, would enforce this ban. To my mind this means that this judge either is incompetent as a pile of dogshit or, has a personal ideology interfering with speaking just.

it could well be that the dutch high court or the european court does not agree with the verdict of this 'middle high' court, though....
