The Smartshops say the ban on shrooms has failed because the active ingredients that give the mushrooms the magic (psilocybine) can still be found in other legal products, like truffles. Those truffles have been sold for over 15 years. Apart from that, mushroom growkits are still sold in the shops.
Its not improbable that the Dutch Ministry of Health will soon put a ban on coffee and alcohol. Read the whole article to see why.
CDA Christian party member Joldersma (see picture) is now angry (at the new law her own Christian minister wrote in november) and demands a total ban on ALL things that produce hallucinatic effects. Last november, Joldersma voted ‘Yes’ to this new law, but now she seems to disagree with it. It was hilarious to see her making a fool out of her own party member, but without her realizing she was implying it. As Joldersma would like all hallucinogenic substances banned on schedule 1, she probably hadn’t read about the recent study of Durham University. They concluded that students who drink 7 cups a day have 300% more chance to get hallucinations than students who drink only 1 cup. Maybe Joldersma has had bad experiences with the hallucinogenic drug alcohol. As we could read in october on Medscape.com, alcohol can “produce psychosis .. with predominant hallucinations occurring in many alcohol-related conditions, including acute intoxication, withdrawal, after a major decrease in alcohol consumption, and alcohol idiosyncratic intoxication. Alcohol is a neurotoxin that affects the brain in a complex manner through prolonged exposure and repeated withdrawal, resulting in significant morbidity and mortality”. We support Joldersma in her efforts and we hereby invite her to email us if she needs more information.
